What is a repositioning fee?

A repositioning fee (also called a deadhead or ferry fee) is the cost of flying an aircraft empty to your departure airport before your trip begins. Luxury Aircraft minimizes it by sourcing jets closest to your departure point.

A repositioning fee (also called a "deadhead" or "ferry" fee) is charged when an aircraft must fly empty to your departure airport before your trip. For example, if you're departing from Miami but the aircraft is based in Atlanta, the cost of flying the jet empty from Atlanta to Miami may be included in your quote. Luxury Aircraft minimizes these costs by sourcing aircraft closest to your departure point.
