About Erie International Airport – Erie, PA (ERI)
Erie International Airport is a major transportation hub for northwestern Pennsylvania, and it is also a popular choice for private aviation. It is the second-busiest airport in Pennsylvania after Philadelphia International Airport. The airport’s location is close to a narrow peninsula that separates Presque Isle Bay from Lake Erie. The site was chosen due to the area’s good flying weather and its proximity to the city of Erie.
